Sliding Patio & Door Locks

We rent, so I couldn't drill anything into the frame, and this installed with just the existing hardware. It holds the slider tight enough that my three-year-old can't budge it, but I can still pop it open one-handed when I'm carrying groceries.

My toddler figured out the old latch in about a day, but this one has held up for two months now. Installing it on the patio door track took maybe ten minutes and I didn't need any tools beyond a screwdriver.

Installation took me about ten minutes and it holds the door firmly even when our toddler yanks on the handle. The lock clicks into place with a satisfying snap that's easy for adults to release but tricky for little fingers. Only wish the adhesive backing came with a spare set for our second door.
