Installed this at the top of our stairs in about fifteen minutes, and the hardware mount means there's zero wiggle when my toddler leans on it. The latch takes a firm squeeze to open, which is exactly what I wanted with a curious two-year-old.

Installation took me maybe twenty minutes with a drill, and the hardware mount feels rock solid at the top of our stairs. The gate swings open smoothly with one hand, which matters when you're carrying a toddler and a laundry basket. It's exactly the permanent setup we needed for peace of mind.

My wife insisted I not cut corners on the top stair gate, and mounting this with the included hardware was truly straightforward. Fits the opening snugly and opens with one hand while holding the baby, which is exactly what we needed for safety and convenience.
